ValueMags will never automatically renew your magazine subscriptions.
When you purchase a magazine subscription at ValueMags you are charged one time for the magazine(s) that you choose. You will receive uninterrupted service during the term of your subscription. When your magazine is about to expire, ValueMags will send you an email and ask you to come back to our site to renew. You may also receive renewal solicitations directly from the magazine's publisher.
The choice to renew is yours.
Read the fine print:
Beware of other magazine subscription sites that offer "auto renewal" or "continuous service" subscriptions. This means that your credit card will be automatically charged every time the magazine is about to expire... until you call to cancel.
Some websites will spin continuous service as an "Exclusive Benefit". It's sometimes called "Premium Uninterrupted Service", or "Uninterrupted Subscription Service". No matter what it's called, your credit card will be charged the "prevailing rate" each time your magazine subscription expires. If you let this happen, you could miss out on a better price from the magazine's publisher or somewhere else online.
Since 1999, ValueMags has never had a customer request to have their magazine subscription automatically renewed. We feel that it's best to leave this renewal decision in the hands of the customer. Our customers will have the chance to always get the best price and service, guaranteed. No pressure, and no tricks!
Once you've placed an order, it takes approximately one to two weeks for your
subscription to be received and scheduled by the publisher. Your subscription is
then added to the publisher's next production cycle and shipped via standard mail.
For example, if your monthly magazine subscription was ordered and received by the publisher
in July, and the August issue has already shipped, your order may be added to the
September mailing.
Publishers ask that you allow 4 to 6 weeks (weekly magazines) and 6 to 10 weeks
(monthly magazines) for delivery to start. Other less frequently published magazines
may take longer to arrive. If you have not received your subscription within the
expected time frame, please send us an email and we'll track it down. Keep in mind,
your subscription starts when you receive your first issue -- not when you place your
orders. If you subscribed for 12 issues in one year, you will receive all 12 issues.

I read this magazine (Cook's) from cover to cover. It had really useful information that can be utilized by everyone. One of the few magazines of any type to which I subscribe.
Some of my favorites come from Cooks Illustrated. I bought it for my Son in Law, who is an engineer because he loves the scientific approach to cooking and loves to cook.
I love the helpful tips, product reviews, and time-saving ideas. The recipes are always delicious and even if they are more advanced, Cooks walks you through each step, making a delicious meal attainable no matter your level of proficiency in the kitchen.
This has detailed explanations about what works and what doesn't in the kitchen. Gives me product tips and why one product might be better than a similar one.
