It's so good I just wish it was twice as big. It covers RC, control line, freeflight, many aspects of modeling.

I'm an 84 year old retired physician. Been building models since 1936 with a hiatus here and there. I build all my models,--- all SAM models for the past 15 years. The magazine is enjoyable for someone who did free fligght in the '30s and RC since the late 60's. I enjoy all construction articles Like Myers old timer articls especially--maybe should be monthly with SAM updates.

In today's world of "ready to fly" model aircraft, this mag helps the reader learn about actually building the model. It is ,IMHO, the very best mag for the model airplane hobbist.

I subscribe to 6 different model airplane magazines and this is one of the best. There are reviews, construction, R/C, free flight, indoor, you name it, this magazine has it. Although the magazine is not the thickest by page count, it certainly is by content. I would strongly recommend it.

As a 30-year member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA 92498), the only modeling magazine I ever received was the AMA's official publication (first American Aircraft Modeler, then its present-day incarnation as Model Aviation). Model Aviation does a great job of covering all aspects of the aircraft modeling realm, but I was utterly surprised to see what I have been missing after subscribing to Flying Models - especially in the advertisements. Since I focus mainly on free flight and control line, finding new sources for kits and supplies was great. I run a personal modeling website called AirplanesAndRockets ([...]) where I have been trying to provide like-minded modelers with resources not easily found in other places. A lot of new material has been added based on things found in Flying Models. Thanks to the people who put the publication together each month. It's a lot of work. - Kirt Blattenberger
